As you may be aware, I’ve been all about skincare the past few months. I feel that looking good comes from skincare, not the makeup side. It’s all good and well being able to master your makeup, but having clear, smooth and well looked after skin makes the world of difference. I’ve been testing out some bits from the Jurlique Rose Range*, which is a) a brand I’ve never used before and b) I’ve never used ‘rose’ products on my skin.

I’ve never used ‘rose’ products on my skin before just because I’ve come across quite a few products that have an overpowering smell. For some reason if a skincare product is highly fragrant then I feel it will break me out, it’s never happened before but my brain just works that way. However, this Rose Range from Jurlique isn’t heavily fragrant, its light and airy with a slight floral scent.

So far, I’ve really been enjoying the range and it’s been working wonders for my skin. First up is the Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream, a high performance cream for de-hydrated skin. Unlike my usual moisturiser the formula is quite rich and thick, but surprisingly sinks into the skin within seconds. You need a tiny amount of this to cover your entire face and neck to. Out of the two products I’ve buy cheap doxycycline hyclate tried, this is less fragrant but neither is overpowering at all. Its dual benefits are antioxidant protection and hydration that helps the skin feel soft and supple after an instant boost of hydration and improves the skins texture. You warm up the moisturiser in your fingertips and apply to your face and neck. You can apply makeup straight after this, or go heavier with the amount at night-time to wake up with super well nourished skin.

The next product is what I use after the moisturiser, which is the Rosewater Balancing Mist. I tend to use this product more at night-time just because the formula and soft scent is so calming and helps me feel relaxed. It’s a really fine mist that works to refresh and tone the skin, all at once. This works really well with my combination skin and isn’t oily or sticky at all. With this you spritz one to two pumps in your hand and pat in gently into the skin. I love the packaging for this to, it comes in a frosted glass bottle and looks gorgeous on my beauty table.

So far, I’ve been loving the pair together, especially for a hydrating skin treat in the evening. I’m so glad the scent isn’t overpowering and is just the right balance.

Have you tried any bits from Jurlique?
