When it comes to beauty, there are a lot of brands I use in rotation. It’s more often than not that I’ll be using many products from one brand at one time. It varies all the time from drugstore to high-end and this last month or so it has been L’Oreal. My makeup bag changes quite often, especially the everyday eye shadows, foundations and lip products I use and this month my makeup bag has seen a lot of L’Oreal, especially in the lip department.
I would say I browse makeup stands and counters quite frequently. There isn’t usually ‘a quick trip into town’ without heading into Boots or Superdrug, and many weeks back I stumbled across a lot of products that caught my eye on the L’Oreal stand. Since, I’ve been buying a few more bits here and there. Let me show you!
L’Oreal are a brand that I’ve used for many many years and will stick by those products that work their magic on me. This month as you can see its mainly about the lips. They’ve recently launched a whole range of Matte Lip Paints in a gorgeous array of shades from nudes to brights and I’ve been obsessed with everything orange so I picked up the shade Tangerine. This is a really bright orange shade that I nver thought in a million years I’d feel comfortable in. It works so well with tanned skin and I can’t to rock this on holiday. If you’re not one for a matte lip they also do Infallible Lacquer Lip Paints that are softer and more hydrating on the lips. They offer a high shine finish and are super pigmented, mine is in the shade Gone With The Nude, a rosy brown shade. What’s incredible is that although they are glossy they last so well, I get around 4 hours wear out of these or longer if paired with a liner. The applicators for both of these are designed to get into the hard to reach places of your lips and the formulas are so creamy they just glide across. They both provide rich pigmentation without a liner underneath.
The past few weeks I’ve been all about buy ventolin evohaler glossy lips for everyday makeup, so I just had to pick up L’Oreal’s Infallible Mega Glosses in the shades Cream and Dazzle. These glosses are unbelievably pigmented and easy to wear. Cream is a true light nude that is stunning on top of a brown lip liner, or for fairer skin tones it would look so pretty without. The shade Dazzle really excites me, as it’s a gold shimmer lip-gloss that adds high shine and a bit of sparkle to the lips. This shade in particular works really well as a lip topper over liners and any formula of lipstick, even matte. I find them very long lasting and non-sticky, they’re quite my perfect gloss formula.
Another recent release of L’Oreal’s is their Miss Baby Roll Mascara, which comes in 5 fun shades and mine is Indigo, a really pretty deep blue. I’ve never rocked a bright mascara before but I used this on my bottom lashes and really loved it. It adds a pop of colour and a bit of a twist to any makeup look. I did try this out on my top lashes to see what the formula was like and I found it added more volume than length, but is really nice for natural looking fluffy lashes. For more length I would suggest using a primer underneath so the formula has something more to cling to. I do actually love the wand on this, it gives your lashes an instant lift and the product doesn’t budge all day.
For products I’ve been using more of that are old L’Oreal favourites or I’ve spoken of before is their True Match Foundation and Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. If you like a fuller coverage base I’d highly recommend the True Match as it’s buildable and also leaves my skin feeling and looking glowy and blemish free. Although it can be full coverage (depending on the amount you apply) I feel it lets my skin breath and doesn’t look or feel cakey. The Cushion Foundation is more for those lighter makeup days and gives a very natural finish and is perfect for on the go touch ups.
