How To Level Up Your Office On A Budget

Working from home during a pandemic can be a pain. Setting up a home office, however, can be brilliant fun. A space that’s just for you to get your work done? It’s heaven in the corner of the room (if you don’t have an actual room, that’s fine!). The thing is, you might not be able to start up an office of your own with much of a budget, so you might be looking for ways that you can level up the one you started out with.

There are all kinds of things that you can add to your home office. From learning whether you should roll back to Big Sur and try another macOS program, to upgrading your entire Apple series to the latest one, there are many ways you can upgrade your space. If you’re on a budget, however, you might not be thinking about your devices. The good news is that there are plenty of things that you can do on a budget that will make your office stand out the right way. Ready? Let’s go!

  1. Upgrade your headphones. When you’re working, you want to ensure that you can take away the distractions. Those headphones on wires? Yep, they’re great, but it’s the wireless, noise-cancelling options that you need to make sure that you have as few distractions as possible. You might need to spend a little more money on these, but that’s the beauty of new headphones that take away the external distractions and allow you to get your work done.
  2. Add comfort. Your chair may not be the most high tech out there, but you can certainly make it more comfortable by adding more cushions. Back pillows that are specific for your chair and your use are going to help you to be more comfortable and give you the adequate lumbar support you need. It’s a piece of the puzzle you’ll find keeps your spine supported better.
  3. A new laptop stand. The best thing that you could do for yourself when working from home is make sure you’re not straining your eyes. If you raise your laptop with a laptop stand, you can move the screen to eye level and give your neck a break. It doesn’t even have to cost a lot!
  4. Add a backlight. You can buy a standing backlight for your Zoom meetings really cheaply in the discount stores. This will light up your face while people are meeting with you for interviews and show you up a little. Your home office can always use a little extra light, especially if you’re not based near a window.
  5. Level up your lighting. Swapping out your current light bulbs for LED bulbs will help you to save money, save energy and give you all the support you need to give back to the environment at the same time.

Your home office needs comfort and these small adjustments are all about your comfort. Try them out and let us know if they work for you!
