Finding fine Japanese food in its best art form is difficult to come by in London. Japanese fusion is becoming increasingly popular yet hard to find. Yet, TOKii has it mastered. TOKii is where “tradition meets mastery”.
TOKii is a Japanese fusion restaurant set in the heart of London, Marble Arch. The restaurant is an addition to The Prince Akatoki London hotel. Both are minimal in design to ensure it guests can focus on the quality of their experience.
The chefs at TOKii focus on the finest ingredients, which are highly ambitious and sourced internationally. The hard-work and delicacy that goes into sourcing these ingredients are reflected in the presentation and flavours.
Dinner at TOKii begins with a warm welcome – a glass of complimentary bubbles. Then, it’s all about relaxing and settling in for a fun fusion meal. The menu is extensive and caters to all dietary requirements. Japanese sushi and sashimi are freshly prepared. Whilst the fish, vegetables, and premium meats are cooked fresh on the robata.
If there are dishes you’d love to try or change due to preference or your diet, the chefs can cater to each individual need. They truly care about your experience and wish for you to walk away wanting more. (The feeling of walking away and wanting more I can vouch for, I promise you).
After ordering a refreshing bottle of dry white wine, the chefs prepared our delicious dinner.
– to start: Lobster Croquettes, Robata Grilled Aubergine, Buttermilk, and Sansho Pepper Crispy Chicken
– for mains: Japanese Wagyu Beef Grade A4 (200g), Miso Black Cod, Vegetable Maki, Sesame Greens, French Fries
– to finish: Dark Chocolate Cake
Yes, you guessed it. After our three courses, we were truly satisfied and already wanting to go back. The flavours, presentation, and hospitality at TOKii was outstanding. It’s not every day you come across such fine Japanese fusion cuisine in London.
