Visiting new countries for the first time is a breath of fresh air. The moment you step off of that plane and onto the tarmac is exciting, especially as you don’t know exactly what the country has to offer.
Although it isn’t always essential, it is nice to indulge in nice accommodation. Knowing that you are heading to a hotel that can make your trip as comfortable as possible is always a calming feeling, especially when the hotel can offer more than you could ever ask for.
During my recent trip to Malta, I stayed in the capital, Valletta, for the first two nights. While there, I stayed at The Embassy Valletta Hotel, located in the center. It is on the doorstep to legendary and extremely beautiful Strait Street as well as more than the city has to offer.
It wasn’t quite apparent how central the hotel is until you step out to explore. No matter which restaurant you choose for dinner and what attraction you want to see, it will likely take you no longer than 10 minutes to get there. Most sights and restaurants are within a few minutes’ walk.
After walking all day, or waking from a restful sleep in your room, you can head to the hotel’s rooftop pool and enjoy the views of the city. There, you can also find a restaurant and a bar (their Aperol Spritz is 10/10).
Staying in a Deluxe Room is more than spacious enough for a couple, friends, or a solo trip. There are all of the amenities you could ask for. The rooms are elegant and private, which is ideal for any city trip.
If you want to relax or unwind, there is a fitness and therapy space as well as a cinema and hair salon.
The Embassy Hotel Valletta is everything and more than anyone could want from a city hotel. It is pretty rare to find a rooftop pool in the heart of Valletta, so this is the ideal spot if you want a dip in the pool and a luxurious room to go back to after a day of exploring. It’s safe to say that Valletta stole my heart for a very good reason, which is all thanks to this hotel.
