It might seem impossible to get things done, tick off your to-do list, and be productive when tiredness looms over you. But, with the right strategies, anyone can be productive when tired.
Tiredness and fatigue can be overwhelming. If you are not careful, they can last days, weeks, or months.
Being drained and tired isn’t something we can overcome in an instant. While coffee or certain foods might boost you, the longevity is short and often temporary.
Overcoming tiredness takes work and patience. Putting your health and well-being first will help you feel more energised and productive.
While you are fighting the fatigue battle, you might wonder how it’s possible to be still productive.
Even if you feel like you’re dragging your feet along the floor and need cocktail sticks to hold your eyes open, you can get stuff done with the right steps.
Rest is productive. If you believe rest is a luxury, you must reconsider your priorities. You are all able to rest and deserve time to relax. Rest is necessary and enables us to find more energy and get things done.
How do you expect to complete tasks if you run on zero energy? Be sure to make time for rest, especially during those tired periods.
It’s ok to feel so tired one day that some tasks can be left for another day. Nobody is perfect and able to complete every daily to-do list that they write.
With a shorter to-do list, you can fulfil your tasks at once when you have a small burst of energy (after a meal or when you rest). Or, you can complete each task slowly throughout the day. There is no need to overwhelm yourself with a long to-do list when you don’t have the energy. Be sure to adopt a mindful mindset, listen to your body, and avoid pushing yourself.
